Copyright Policy

How to report infringement, dispute a claim and reach our legal team.

Our approach

We respect the rights of artists, songwriters, labels and publishers, and we expect the channels and catalogs we manage to do the same. This policy explains how to report copyright infringement, how to dispute a claim, and how we handle these requests.

All copyright matters go to our legal team at legal@mediaphonedigital.com.

Reporting copyright infringement

If you believe that a channel in our network or content in our catalog infringes your copyright, email us with the following information:

  1. Your full name or company name, postal address, email address and phone number
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
  3. The exact link(s) to the video, channel, release or asset in question
  4. Evidence that you own the rights or are authorized to act for the rights holder, such as registration details, contracts or distribution records
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent or the law
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf
  7. Your physical or electronic signature

Incomplete notices may take longer to review, because we may need to ask you for the missing information.

Disputing a claim (counter-notice)

If content you uploaded received a Content ID claim or a copyright complaint through an asset we manage, and you believe this is a mistake, you can:

  • dispute the Content ID claim directly in YouTube Studio, which sends the dispute to us for review, or
  • email legal@mediaphonedigital.com with the link to your video, the claim details and your reason, such as a license, your own ownership or another legal basis for the use

If you have a license or permission, please attach it. We release claims that turn out to be incorrect.

How we handle requests

We review every notice and dispute individually. Depending on the result, we may remove or block content, release or withdraw a claim, update ownership information, or contact the channel owner or rights holder to resolve the matter. Where an ownership conflict exists between rights holders, we ask both sides for proof of ownership and act based on the evidence.

Repeat infringers

Channels or clients that repeatedly infringe the rights of others, or repeatedly supply content they do not own, will be removed from our network and services.

False or abusive claims

Please only send a notice if you own the rights or are authorized to act for the rights holder. Knowingly false notices or counter-notices can lead to legal liability. We may reject requests that are clearly abusive.

Licensing requests

If you want to use a work from our catalog, email legal@mediaphonedigital.com with a description of the work and how you want to use it.
